Care Team

Here at Norwood House, from the receptionist who brings you your morning newspaper, through to the manager and carers who are ever present, work hard to settle all our residents quickly into home life. We ensure peace of mind for all and the chance for each and every resident to flourish as an individual. The care and companionship of staff and residents ensures that a quality of living is achieved that simply would not be possible alone.

The experienced care assistants selected for their skills operate a 24 hour service, delivering a high standard of care to suit the individual needs. Whilst the registered Manager supervises the day to day running of the home and ensures that the care delivered encompasses social, physical, psychological and environmental needs.

The staff of Norwood House are all highly trained to NVQ level and extremely experienced and skilled. They provide a safe, caring and stimulating home environment with an emphasis on respect for individuality and dignity for all. Our senior care staff members are all qualified to administer prescribed medication to the residents as required. We have a doctor and district nurse on call should they be required and ECP (Emergency Care Practitioner) provides medical attention within the home and is able to prescribe medication or admittance to hospital if necessary. At Norwood House we strive to reach new and improved levels of care and see continual training and learning as essential to improved practice.

We are aware that no two people are the same, hence our approach reflects this. We work from the outset to understand each and every resident’s needs and from this we deliver a level of care and support that gives each resident the best possible experience. For many, our care home provides a renewed sense of purpose as the companionship and support of staff, family and other residents replaces the burden and anxiety of living alone.

Individual Care

Individual care plans enable staff to continually monitor each resident’s progress and general health. This is monitored by our Quality Assured procedures, which have an ongoing review, to ensure that the care provisions meet the needs of the individual.
